A Spring in the Rocks
The story of how Rocks Water came to be is fascinating. Our spring was first written about in an early edition of the local paper. Around 1860, when the Idaho City gold rush began, it flowed out of the basalt cliffs naturally and travelers would stop for cool water. Eventually, the area around the spring became a stagestop location and the water continued to be enjoyed.
From Rocks Lodge to Rocks Water
Fast forward a hundred years, the lodge was constructed and the owner set up the spring to be captured. He added a cistern system to capture the water for the building. He also added an overflow pipe which became iconic in the local community. For decades, locals would stop and fill jugs for their drinking water needs. By the early 1990s, Rocks Lodge was a popular restaurant and hotel.
In 2007, the owners, Scott and Angie West, closed down Rocks Lodge and created Rocks Water. They added several holding tanks, UV filtration, and a bottling line.
New Owners, New Focus
In 2017, the Wests retired and sold to John and Victoria Krempa. Since then, we have completed a huge remodel of the Lodge, converting it to long-term apartment rentals as well as the Rocks Water processing facility. We have updated our fleet and bottles, and greatly expanded our customer base.
We are very proud that our water is the only available LOCAL spring water in the Boise area.
Our single focus is on delivering our delicious nutritious water to local customers throughout the Treasure Valley. We also value customer service. When you call us you will talk directly to the owners, not a call center in some far away place.
